Unhappy ACL Reconstruction - Post Op Physio

Hi,

I had ACL reconstruction surgery just over 3 weeks ago and as yet have yet to recieve any physiotherapy . After chasing it up several times it seems my referral has gone missing between the surgeons office and the physio (I had to wait 11 months for surgery at which point I was sent to a private hospital approx 50 miles away as the NHS waiting list was too long and the mix up seems to have occured with the private surgeon sending back the referral to the NHS for Physio).

Anyway I just wanted to check on here if this is something to be overly worried about, obviously it is going to delay my recovery as I am still on crutches and am unable to bend my knee more than about 30 degrees from straight (I can lock it out straight which apparently is the most important thing). Am I likely to suffer any long term damage from the lack of treatment baring in mind once the local physio does get the referral it could be another week or so before I see anyone?

Any advice will be much appreciated, I am off now to make yet another phone call to chase this up
