I broke my radius and ulna in a soccer injury. It was in a cast for 9 weeks. Although Im out of the cast now, my wrist is almost completely incapable of movement in any direction. I am a 28 year old male patient. Please advise me on what exercises i can do to recover effectively, also what care i should take and how long i should be careful. Thanks a ton ![]() Please find below an image of the fracture 2 weeks after the accident. image1.JPG image2.JPG |

Re: Broken Radius and Ulna
hi yossarian,
at the outset I wonder why you were on cast for "9 weeks" for fracture lower end of radius and ulnar styloid. anyway, post-traumatic stiffness is a known phenomenon so don't panic. from your post I understand that your range of motion (ROM) is grossly limited. well, I would advice you to seek a competent physiotherapist's help to aid mobilization as self exercises alone will not suffice. apart from manual therapy, your physio "will" put you on a strict home based exercise regimen. kindly follow the same religiously to regain your "full" range of motion. all the best. cheers, thomas |
