Spiral Femur Fracture

Hello! I stumbled across this forum and think its great. I broke my left femur 2 weeks ago wakeboarding and have an IM rod and 2 screws insterted - which seems standard. I am from the UK but working out in Menorca on a yacht which is where i was treated and where i am staying for a while. Im not sure if the Spanish have a different method of doing things (cant fault the healthcare system here - its fantastic) but I was sent away from hospital after a week and told to keep moving my joints etc but no real plan of recovery or excercises i should be doing - this may be down to language problems.
I know its only 2 weeks after surgery, but I have booked into see the only english speaking physio on the island today (hes dutch)- i was just wondering whether its too soon???? what to expect etc? im a bit nervous of hurting myself as I stopped taking any painkillers 3 days ago as i felt they were leading me into a false sense of security.

ANy help much appreciated with regards to what I should be doing and what the physio should be doing on my first visit!

Thanks in advance x
