What on earth is wrong with my leg !!
Hello
I am a very active person who competes in mixed martial arts and does a lot of gym work and I am now 34 yrs old and still thinks I can train like a 24 yr old ! I have been suffering from sciatica down the back of my right leg which comes and goes but recently I have been getting a strong pain in the front of my right leg which feels like its inside the hip or near to the top of the leg in question. I cannot put any weight onto the leg when this pain starts or I will collapse on it. It does not occur when I train, run or anything active but if I sit down for a while or drive for about 30 mins + and then when I go to put weight on it I get this severe pain which lasts for about 15-20 seconds. Is this part of the sciatica or yet another new injury to add to my list !! In all seriousness I am concerned about it due to the pain and lack of use of the leg for that short period Regards lee |

Re: What on earth is wrong with my leg !!
i very much doubt that this is a "new" injury, as winning the lottery once is great, but twice is pretty unheard of.
i think that maybe the way you are moving because of the sciatica is putting undue load and pressure onto different bits ie your hip / groin. you need to get an MRI not xray of your back to firm up your diagnosis and get some good treatment pronto. cheers sixphysio |
