Post ACL reconstruction advice - please

I had my ACL reconstructed last week (following a previous cartilage repair in January). I have been given a few exercise from my physio, however she has never dealt with an ACL patient before and seemed rather unsure.

My pain questions are, how much should I be able to do 9 days after the operation? Is it usual that my knee is still 3 times its normal size? Is it safe for me to walk around (with crutches as I've been advised not to get rid of them for another week) more than just in my house as I am extremely bored of being house bound!?

Any advice or words of knowledge from someone who has previosly had this operation would be fab.

Thanks, Louise
