Possible plica???

Hi,

I've posted on here before about my problematic knee (see below for link):

Recently, I've been having some massage treatment to the problem and, thankfully the knee has responded well.

Oddly however, another problem has arisen; in the area designated by a black box(see photo) on the top right hand corner of my knee, there is an inflammed
area. When the leg is straightened, the affected area is on the top right corner of the patella. There is like a central point of inflammation, which feels
like a raised bit of tissue (a small but noticeable nodule if you like).

I think the problem has been there for a while but I've only recently noticed it.

I think this may be a plica but I'm not sure as I don't know much about this condition.

Thanks.
