Post surgery ACL excercises
I had a patella/bone ACL recontruction 7 weeks ago. I have been told by my physio, that it is ok to do unsupported leg extensions whilst sitting at my desk at work. I have been reading however, on several internet sites, that this is not advised until after at least 12 weeks. I am now worried that I may have done damage to the graft I waited 3 years to get.
Any advice would be much appreciated. |

Re: Post surgery ACL excercises
Take this with a little caution, but if you look up previous posts here you will see that ACL injuries aren't that bad. You can be perfectly okay with a subpar ACL. Although if you play sports you probably want to make it the best you can. However, best thing to do is get consistent assessment, and hands on physio training.

Re: Post surgery ACL excercises
How far into the rehabilitation would you say it would be ok to straighten your leg out in front of you unsupported from a seated position as an exercise ?
