Shoulder pain

Hello All,

I have recently injured my left shoulder, the pain is in my front/middle deltiod.

It hurts when I reach my arm out to the side.

Imagine standing with your arms by your sides, keeping your upper arm straight bend your elbow so your lower arm is at 45 degrees angle pointing out in front of you. Then keeping you arm in that shape and keeping your upper arm close to your body, turn your lower arm out sideways away from your body.

I am also unable to do a single push up. Althought it hurts, I can manage going down but I can not push myself back up off the floor.

It can also hurt when carrying something or just reaching to pick something up i.e a cup, remote control etc.

I was really hoping it would go away but it is preventing me from training and it has been 9 weeks now.

What do you think I have injured and what treatment do you reccomend?

Many Thanks,

Andy.
