Back pain??????

Hi I injured my lower back lifting something too heavy the wrong way. Then a little time later thinking I was went to the gym and while doing arm curls on the cable machine pulled a muscle or pinched a nerve midback. I took some time off to let it heal and eased back into going to the gym and sitting in the sauna. My injuries happened in august and I’m still getting a tight back in the morning and when I pick off the ground for long periods of time but no pain. Is this typical of a back injury?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Back pain??????

HI,

Could be many things.

A suggestion would be to have a good assessment from a suitably qualified physiotherapist.

It might be a midback spine problem, ribs problem, nerve problem, muscle problem, referred pain from the neck or shoulder or lower back or shoulder blade or collarbone etc etc.

It also might be a lung problem or abdominal muscle problem, coordination problem, visceral problem, lower leg muscle problems etc etc.

It is very hard to tell without a good history. What you can do, what you can't do etc. As much as well all like to help, nothing at the moment beats seeing a client and feeling what is going on.

It has been a month now from what you say and it is affecting your everyday life (but thankfully no pain). Your symptoms are very common to what we all see everyday.

A simple assessment will cost you very little and can be of great benefit.

Good luck!

What’s with the obituaries and their assessment of the recently deceased?

Why are all the bylines so sweet and flattering, like "Loved by all" or "Enjoyed her grandchildren".
Why are not there any that say like "royal pain in the ***" or "We're glad she's finally dead"?
I find it hard to believe all the older folks kicking off were all sweet and loving because dickheads come in all ages

Re: Back pain??????

I have this bad back pain... It hurts from the top of my spine down. It feels as though the muscles are just real weak all of a sudden. The pain started about 2 months ago when I was helping someone out with a garage sale, and i was lifting boxes... Do I go to my family doc? Or the ER? or someone else?

Re: Back pain??????

Hi - did you read the posts above - is there more information that you can provide about your condition.

Otherwise go to a physiotherapist and they can sort it all for you.

Good luck!
