skillsforaction website

Dear All

Take a look at the skillsforaction website. Here you will find information for parents and teachers of children with Developmental coordination disorder (DCD), joint hypermobility and low muscle tone.

There are two new sections. One provides information and suggestions for activities for for parents of babies and toddlers with joint hypermobility and low muscle tone. I will be adding to this section on a regular basis.

There is also a section with resources for physiotherapists and OT's working with children with movement difficulties. This includes activity descriptions that can be downloaded to give to parents and teachers. These are published under a Creative Commons license - you may copy, print and amend these activity instructions as long as the original source is acknowledged. You will need to register as a user to access this information. Registration is free while this database is being built up.

View the website here: http://www.skillsforaction.com/

I would really welcome feedback about the contents of the site - and if you find it useful.

Best wishes for a wonderful and peaceful 2009

Pam

Re: skillsforaction website

The skillsforaction.com website has been updated.

There is a new section: movement therapy for children: a webmanual.

See in particular Watching Will: a video diary charting one infant's development with commentary.

New exercises have been added to the SfA therapy resources.

Hope to see you on the site.

Best wishes

Pam
