Chronic Ankle Pain

I have had this problem for about 2 months now. It was caused by over exercise, I was training to be a Marine. I have visited 2 doctors, and all they told me was to see a physical therapist, and that it was "Tendinitis".
I have pain in the outer part of my left ankle. I had to walk on it for work, and the condition just kept getting worse. I feel very stupid for not listening to my body. Over the last three weeks I have been doing stretches that my physical therapist told me to do. I have been in therapy for three weeks now, and nothing seems to get better. I got an X-Ray done on it and nothing showed up. I was wondering if Prolotherapy, MRI, or getting anything done to fix this condition so I can get on with my life.

Re: Chronic Ankle Pain

What sort of physio treatment have you been getting. It might enable us to answer better.

Re: Chronic Ankle Pain

Its very hard to say without seeing you what the problem may be.

My first thought from your post was that when training for the marine, what was your training schedule and what sort of shoes were you wearing.

When does it actually hurt you, during what activities? And your certain you didn't twist it? Also no previouse ankle injuries on that side?

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get a better idea of the problem. If you could post a full history that would be great.
