re: outcome measure for shoulder instability

I currently work with habitual/atraumatic shoulder instabilities at the RNOHT, Stanmore U.K does anyone know of a good outcome measure/scale to use with this group to help evaluate clinical practice, hopefully incorporating function, pain episodes of dislocation and ROM.

Dear Anj,
Got your message !!
You are lucky that Mr Simon Lambert will be joining you at the RNOHT in March.
He is like a breath of fresh air and a trauma expert , he will be missed at Bupa Chalybeate Southampton.

Good luck with the research , Di Pollock

re: outcome measure for shoulder instability

I have been searching for treatment protocols for dislocated shoulder. I do not see many but when i do I am not sure what to do. have been trying theraband in end range, moving out of dislocating position but am not sure if this helps to stabilize or not. Any feedeback would be helpful

re: outcome measure for shoulder instability

I work a company trying to introduce a concept from Europe known as "Medical Exercise Therapy", which is a system of applying graded exercises. I have available articles on this treatment for shoulder problems and have strong links with many therapists who may be able to share information.
