Shelf Osteotomy operation

Hi Can anyone please give me some advice. I had a shelf osteotomy operation on my left hip on the 28-11-08 and because of a mistake by the hospital won't be getting any physio until the 29-12-08. I am not really using my crutches anymore and have been sleeping on my good side with the aid of a pillow under my operated leg. Am i doing the right things or should i be doing things differently? Still quite numb around hip and top of thigh so not in pain unless i turn my leg. Thanks
