help! - patient going into total extension - head, neck.....

This may make me seem really thick, but I've got a total mental block. I've been asked to advise on the physical management of a patient with .... and I can't remember the name of the problem. It's a chap with advanced dementia, who has recently started going into total extension - head, neck, spine, and now the limbs are joining in. I remember coming across this once as a student some 20-odd years ago, but obviously want to read up on it before I advise anyone - but I can't read up on it because I can't remember what it's called...
Any help would be appreciated.
