Can I ask what you are trying to achieve as this might indicate an approach to a functional test. Situps for example have little to do with maintaining a stabile mid section during ambulation.
A standard manual muscle test does little to test functional abilities of the abdominal muscles during a task and therefore may well be an invalid measure of the ability to perform a task. |

I do agree with physiobase. People seem to be interested in testing while the test doesn't say a thing about abilities in real life. So may I ask why my colleagues are so fond of this feature? Has it to do with e.g. evidence based practice? What is the background? I am very curious.
