Huntington's Chorea
Hello friends,
Can anyone suggest physiotherapy management for a patient with a Final Diagnosis of Huntington's Chorea. The details of the patient are as follow: Higher cortical function: Short-term and immedite memory loss Behavioral changes - adamant, exhibiting antisocial behavior (sometimes undresses in front of others to go to bathroom). Cranial Nerves: Normal Sensation: NAA. Motor Assessment: -Choreotic movts of head, trunk and all limbs. -Muscle power 5/5 b/l u.l and l.limbs. -AROM and PROM full in all joints. -Tone: Normal all 4 limbs. -No tightness, contractures, or deformities. Functional abilities: FIM score 7 with all bedside mobility Balance: FBS sitting 4 standing 4 Gait: Dancing gait, does not fall, able to regain balance. I would be happy if anyone let me know the techniques to deal with choreotic movts and gait problem. |
