Treatment of neurological sequelae following Viral Encephelitis
I have a patient who after having Viral Encephalitis presented with neurological deficits involving her whole body (L) >(R).with some 'Parkinson type' symptoms.Concurring factors affecting treatment included extreme fatigue in response to gentle exercise sometimes also associated with severe headache and vomiting often taking up to two days to recover. This has not improved and she has now developed a strong kinetic tremor in limbs and trunk, muscle strength has also deteriorated. She has been reviewed by several doctors but nothing is being done about this young woman's quality of life.Has anyone had a patient like this who has not responded to physio?

Totally amazing! After an extended in patient stay and numerous tests that showed nothing it was found that she is pregnant!! Now that she is 5+ months most of her symptoms have settled down. Sibbles53
