before treating you need to evaluate the patient. you need to strengthen by various means like weights, faradic stimulation, free exs.
the golden rule is that if the grade is 0 the muscles will not recover, but if the grade is 2-3 then the muscles can be strengthned |

Has this patient had Tendon Transfer surgery (ie. the hamstrings is insertion is relocated to act as a knee extensor?).
Additionally think holistically, where are the major muscle problems/imbalances, perhaps examine holistically and globally, and then determine specific locations that need local treatment in isolation before moving on to larger movements. Are they using walking aids? Regards |
