strengthening exercise

what is the best strengthening exercise for the polio patient?

before treating you need to evaluate the patient. you need to strengthen by various means like weights, faradic stimulation, free exs.
the golden rule is that if the grade is 0 the muscles will not recover, but if the grade is 2-3 then the muscles can be strengthned

Has this patient had Tendon Transfer surgery (ie. the hamstrings is insertion is relocated to act as a knee extensor?).

Additionally think holistically, where are the major muscle problems/imbalances, perhaps examine holistically and globally, and then determine specific locations that need local treatment in isolation before moving on to larger movements.

Are they using walking aids?
