Re: Spinal Stenosis
I wonder where the diagnosis of spinal stenosis came from - do you have any imaging findings? Is the pain central lumbar or in the legs?
The usual clinical pattern with stenosis is that symptoms are aggravated by extension and relieved in flexion, yet you say she is struggling to bend to the floor - is this due to pain or movement restriction?
If it is true spinal stenosis, then flexion exercises as above are useful, along with joint mobilisations (accessory and physiological) to the lumbar spine and/or soft tissue stretching to gain flexion ROM. Assessment of occupational postures are also important, to avoid over extension
