Where to study for Master in OMT?

Hi!

I just wonder if anyone has recommendations for OMT studies. I have now a Bachelor in PT, and I am thinking of doing OMT, but I dont know where yet. Is it so that the Australian Universities are the best? And if so, which one do I choose?

Looking forward to any replies!

re: Where to study for Master in OMT?

all I can tell u veagardo about studying OMT in australia is that it is only offered by one institution Charles Sturt University at Wagga Wagga. I can tell you that a majority of the course is by distance education and goes for 3 years. You are required to complete 1 week per semester of clinical practice.
This course is however not deemed sufficient in clinical hours to be recognised within Musculoskeletal physiotherapy Australia as a manipulative therapist.

re: Where to study for Master in OMT?

Hi
I am currently commencing my third year in the Master of Health Science (OMT) at CSU Albury campus and can highly recommend the course. Although the course is offered by distance ed I am actually a local. If you require further info the course co ordinator is Paul Marshal and you could email him at pmarshall@csu.edu.au
cheers
Janeway

re: Where to study for Master in OMT?

Hi
I am a graduate from the OMT master course three years ago. I have been a phyasiotherapist for over 17 years, I have attend several courses in Australia. The OMT course have been the best one I ever done. It change my life as a physiotherapist since then. I suffer from back pain since I was a undergraduate student. The OMT course help myself to understand my own problem. Dr. Atkinson, the course's principle lecturer is the best clinician I ever meet. I would recommend the course to anyone.
