T4 Syndrome

I am a second year pre-registration MSc student about to start a dissertation on the treatment of T4 syndrome.
I would be extremely grateful for suggestions of any recent articles on the subject as most of the research was done in the late 1980's. In addition, I would like to investigate if there is any specific diagnostic tool used to determine a T4 syndrome patient? Also, does anyone know an approximate figure of how many T4 syndrome patients get referred to a department monthly/yearly? Any information at all would be much appreciated! You can contact me on cawebb@essex.ac.uk

I would suggest they are few and far between. I would have seen perhaps one in 10 years.

An interesting angle as to why it happens might be to explore the attachment of external obliques.
I am pretty sure that the attach up to rib 5.

If people are "chest-grippers", then using their EO as a stabiliser would result in splinting the thoracic cage up to T5. This would then cause T4 to move over a relatively inflexible T5 and cause aggravation there...

Don't know if there is any research. Maybe an area for you to do some in?
