We have a great opportunity for a Qualified Social Worker to join a Children, Schools & Families team in East London Responsibilities: 1. To act as the lead professional to co-ordinate a multi- agency approach to challenging family difficulties.2. Work in partnership with families to ensure professional boundaries are set and maintained.3. To plan, deliver and review support packages designed to ensure a high standard of service to families, including the services of other agencies.4. To work with all family members using a negotiated contract; ensuring that the benefits of partnership and the possible consequences of non-engagement are clearly communicated to all parties to the contract.5. To use the Family Common Assessment Framework (CAF) to identify additional needs and organise support as required.6. To review the multi-disciplinary assessment of family functioning within a structured model of intervention.7. To take primary responsibility for formulating contracts that can act as a basis for intervention. Review family contracts regularly, co-ordinate activity in a persistent and assertive style to ensure families stick to agreements in their contracts and change their behaviour. Take appropriate action when necessary.8. To report to the Family Panel when required on the progress of difficult cases.9. To co-facilitate parenting programmes.10. In cooperation with other team members assist with the provision of a 24 hour telephone help line for family referrals.
