Sports First Aid: Managing incidents in Sport & Exercise First Aid- Making the Right

The course was designed at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) and is specifically for those working in sporting environments. This qualification, delivered mainly by CD ROM, is designed to meet the needs of sports coaches, teachers, parents and those students who are studying sport both in Further and Higher Education. It is approved by The Association for Physical Education, The Society of Sports Therapists, BASRaT and REPS.Once you have registered you will be sent an interactive CD designed by UCLAN which you will need to work through before you attend the assessment. The CD will take about 2hrs and will give you an understanding of the required Sports First Aid principles including scenarios and equipment. On the day of the assessment you will be given a brief review of the principles and then the scenario assessments will take place. Your certificates will then be sent out to you in the post. The certificate lasts 2 years. This half day course is run by Nick Gardiner BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy. Nick has worked with London Irish RFC, GB Ice Hockey and Tottenham Hotspur and is now a lecturer in Sports Therapy at London Metropolitan University and proprietor of Fit For Sport, Sports Therapy & Injury Clinics.This course costs only £89
