This is a unique opportunity to work with and learn from Diane Lee and LJ Lee, both whom are passionate expert and highly skilled clinicians. This course is aimed at experienced senior I and II musculoskeletal physiotherapists with existing manual therapy skills who are keen to accelerate their clinical assessment, diagnostic and treatment skills to a NEW LEVEL. Research on joint and muscle function has lead to the development of multi-modal, evidence-based approaches. The model upon which this series has evolved considers the research and clinical evidence and the interplay of the articular, myofascial, neural and visceral system in function and dysfunction. This approach requires skilled clinical reasoning, an understanding of how different body regions are linked both in function and dysfunction and, for those learning it, a desire to improve and practice the range of skills taught. This series is a highly coherent mergence of 4 individual courses offered by Diane Lee & Linda-Joy Lee: - The Lumbopelvic-hip Complex,-Real-time Ultrasound Imaging & Clinical Reasoning - The Lower Extremity – Integrating the Lower Limb to the Lumbopelvic Core - Thorax & Shoulder Girdle. See Diane and LJ’s websites (
http://www.dianelee.ca/ and
www.ljlee.ca) for descriptions. It is also one of only three series Diane and LJ teach around the world. Please see
www.physiouk.co.uk for the theoretical and practical content of the series. At the conclusion of this series, the participant will have an understanding of how to design a multimodal, evidence-informed treatment program which includes manual therapy, real-time ultrasound imaging, dry needling (for those already using dry needling), education and exercise from early rehabilitation to functional integration. The series will be run as three 4-day weekends across 2009. To see full details or to apply for this course, please see
