Tax Can be Relaxing! Nottingham, UK

This day is geared at independent practitioners who are both new to self-employment or who have been in business for a few years but still have queries and questions they haven’t dared ask their accountant! Even before launching into the world of self-employment, “What do I do about tax – I don’t know where to start” seems to be the statement which holds people back. Come to this informative and reassuring training day to discover that tax isn’t a four letter word!Michael Bennett is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants. He qualified in 1990 and started his own practice in April 1998 with 12 clients. He now has over 1000 - of those, 70% are Podiatrists, Chiropractors, Osteopaths or similar. Currently he is travelling around the UK as a guest speaker for the Society of Chiropodists & Podiatrists. He will be asking for your questions prior to the day so he can answer them in an open forum session ... anonymously! Such questions could be: "I work from home – am I exposed to Capital Gains Tax when I sell my home?" "If I work out of my parents house – are there any tax implications for them?"By the end of this highly informative day, all delegates will have:- gained a better understanding of the legal requirements for keeping financial records- the ability to better understand the different types of expenditure that may be claimed against tax- an appreciation what is involved in an Inland Revenue enquiry & so be better prepared for any that may ariseCost: £95 before 5th June 2008£125 after 5th June 5th 2008
