Sports Physiotherapy Experience

Hi,
I am a physiotherapy student, who is qualified in sports first aid. Currently looking to gain experience in sport, and would be willing to provide first aid for a team/club. Is anyone in south london looking for a first aider or could provide physiotherapy experience.
Please get in touch,
Jigs

Re: Sports Physiotherapy Experience

I would suggest that you either initially look for voluntary work in lower league sport or apply to the clubs academies. This was you are not usually on your own and can benefit from other physio's knowledge.

I initially stated at Liverpool Ladies FC on a voluntary basis and 6 months later was offered a paid part-time post at Bolton Wanderers FC with the academy (upto U14's). Doing those jobs gave me the confidence to accept a short term post with a Conference North club for match days due to injury to the full-time physio.

The reason I've illustrated this is that its a case of getting your foot in somewhere, gaining a bit of experience and then moving higher up.

Good luck.
