hi. My daughter is 19 and is now on her 3rd time of bells palsy since 17 years old. Twice she has had it on the left side of her face, and today diagnosed as having it again, but unusually, on the right hand side of her face. Apparenty this is unusual. She went straight to the doctors as she knew the signs. She's obviously very upset. The doctor prescribed her 12 steroids a day, and 5 anti viral tablets per day and wants to see her in 2 days time, and have been fantastic right from the first time. When will this stop? How many more times can she suffer from this? Is there anything I can do to help her or that she can take to help prevent this. She is beginning to get an expert on symptoms as soon as they are showing, e.g no taste, pain behind the ear, stinging eyes, etc.

Feeling so helpless, and hate her tears, as 3 times is unbelievable. She's so brave, her job is working with the public and admire her courage so much. First time was just after she had glandular fever, could this be relevant? Any thoughts would be so gratefully received.

	Hi thanx Steve. Katie is going to see a specialist 31st July. This time round her bones ache, her eye is twitching, gets hot cheeks, and ringing in her ears. The first two times she didn't have this. Her face has really gone back to normal except in photos, where both eyes of her are bad. Is this normal do you know?
