Thigh Hematoma

Three weeks ago a had a significant fall on a DH mountain bike. Among my injuries was a rather large hematoma (with significant bruising) on my left hip/thigh. I did manage to complete a sprint triathlon the week after with some discomfort but no real pain.

Other than the initial RICE, what is the best course of treatment for this injury?

As I don't experience any pain, is there any danger of running or cycling with this type of injury? Will exercise help prevent or promote myositis ossificans?

FWIW, I'm a 38 year old male in above average shape.

Thanks in advance.
