Prolapsed Disc

Hi all....

I am looking for some advice....

I injured my back 2 yrs ago and had severe back pain for 2days and then it disappeared. Since then i have had horrendous pain in my lower left leg into my foot. At times its unbearable and i am currently on 27 tablets a day to help with the pain. I am a 24yr old female.

I have been for physio, acupuncture, osteopaths etc and nothing has worked.

I have just been for an MRI scan which has showed the following:

L4/5 Disc Dehydration
Posterior Bulging
Disc Prolapse
No evidence of nerve root compression (all medical staff i have seen had all thought my disc was pressing against my sciatic nerve).

I have no idea what this means and the way the NHS works, I could be sitting like this for ages which is why i need some info from people with the same/similar problems.

Thanks
S
