iontophoresis is a physiotherapy treatment technique using electrical current.the current is used to drive ions from a solution into the body.this is an effective way to drive medicines to target area without loss in intensity of medicine.
for eg if we are taking a medicine orally it will pass thru various metabolic process in the body,so only a minimal amount of it only reach the site as in your case foot .
hope i made it simple
I see, well do you have any suggestions for me. I have had Plantar Faciitis for 3 months treating it for one month with standard orthodic's and icing. Last two weeks with streching (the streching is tricky has to be done perfectly as not to aggravate) i started taking 1gram of dried Ginger 3 times daily as a anti-inflammatory (i am told it is powerful) i really want to avoid
NSAIDs. I am not getting much relief! Can you help?
