Smile Re: PCE Exam - Online Study Group and Reference Thread

Hi all. I am also hoping to do the exam in March '08 as I am finally through the credentialling and PLAR process. (I trained in Australia and also relicensed in California several years ago.) I am now situated in northern Ontario, Canada and currently working part-time as an assistant for the experience and the Canadian contacts.

I have been advised by Canadian therapists to use the O'Sullivan Study Guide and Magee's Orthopedics particularly, along with anything else I find useful in the Alliance list. It seems the Canadian exam may now be closer to the US exam than it was a few years ago. Can anyone who has tried the recent exam speak to that?

I have also found it helpful to make contact with local therapists by looking for opportunities to volunteer or job shadow with them. Some of these therapists are great teachers and I have appreciated their willingness to have me around. I have been out of practice for a few years so this has helped me 'think physio' again in a Canadian clinical context.

An online study group will be a good way of keeping me focused so I am keen to be involved.

Thanks.
linda
