Hi there,

I'm in 2nd year at MMU and the course is good - if you're dedicated to self-learning. I also had a place offered to me by Salford.

Learning is very much problem-based learning - you will be presented with a patient case and you will need to learn about the pathology and treatment more or less on your own. I like it (I found it frustrating at first). The reasoning behind it is that all students will be active learners from day one - nothing is spoon-fed to you- you learn yourself. This method is also meant to help us clinically reason our methods of treatment, rather than just treat a patient because a textbook says we should do so. I'm about to start my placements, so time will see. I'm positive though...Hope this helps
